THARSIS & THE PROPHECY
OF ISAIAH AND KING DAVID
The passage of the Magi through Tharsis is based on the interpretation of the prophecies of the Old Testament:
“The Kings of Tharsis and of the islands shall bring their offerings” Psalm 72:10, King David’s prayer about his son Solomon.
“The ships of Tharsis will come first to bring thy sons from afar, with their silver and their gold” Isaiah 60- 6.9.
