En 1367, el emir Muhammad V se llev\u00f3 a 300 familias jud\u00edas en operaciones militares para evitar los horrores de la represi\u00f3n cristiana. En 1391, varias ciudades de los reinos de Castilla y Arag\u00f3n, desde Sevilla hasta Barcelona, fueron escenario de pogromos. Cuando pudieron, los jud\u00edos amenazados se dirigieron al reino de Granada. El establecimiento de la Inquisici\u00f3n en 1481 trajo consigo una afluencia similar de jud\u00edos convertidos al cristianismo, principal objetivo del terrible tribunal.
